At LIKNO Hotel, a new and luxurious accommodation in the picturesque village of Glyki.

We offer you a unique accommodation experience, next to the crystal clear waters of the mythical river Acheron. Our name, "Likno," symbolizes the birthplace of the exceptional and unique, just as we expect your experience with us to be.
Our hotel is located in the center of Glyki, on the banks of the mythical river Acheron, and right at the junction leading to the springs that are only 800m away from the accommodation. Built in 2024, it includes 5 furnished double rooms of 30 sqm each, which can comfortably accommodate up to 3-4 people and offers an ideal environment for rest, relaxation and fun. All our rooms have a comfortable balcony and have a view of the Acheron river (3) and the mountains of the historic Soulion and the Byzantine Basilica church of the 10th century (2). Near the hotel there are Super markets, taverns, cafeterias, clubs, pharmacy, hairdresser, bakery, 5X5 pitch, playground and other facilities.

The History and Nature of Acheron

Acherontas, a river deeply linked to Greek mythology, has been a source of admiration since ancient times. Its name comes from the word 'achos', meaning deep sorrow, or from the word 'achos', referring to the constant, loud sound of its waters. Its springs are located near the village of Glyki and create unique landscapes of natural beauty, protected by the Natura 2000 network. During the summer months, visitors can swim in its cool waters and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

The Village of Glyki

The village of Glyki, an authentic destination with a rich history, is located right next to the springs of Acheron. According to local legend, its name comes from Saint Donatos, who blessed the waters and made them sweet after killing a dragon that was poisoning them.

  • the cities of Igoumenitsa
    (50 km) and Preveza (50km) via the National Road of Preveza - Igoumenitsa.

 

The wider area is served by the airport of Aktio which is located 60 km away and through which the area has regular air connections with Athens and major European cities.
